|Governor Wolf Extends School
Closure for Remainder of
April 09, 2020
|This year's Community Day, June 6, is canceled.
As we all know, the Governor changed the status of 24 counties from red to yellow. Those counties
are in the northcentral and northwest part of the state. The next counties to be considered are in
the southcentral and southwest part of the state. The southeast, where we are, will be the last area
of the state to change status. Bucks County's status is currently red. Red is obviously the most
restricted, with stay-at-home orders in effect along with social distancing, and social gatherings
limited to 10 people. Even if Bucks County changes from red to yellow in the next few weeks, it does
not help us with Community Day. Social gatherings in yellow counties will be limited to 25 people
and we get 300+ on Community Day. We do not expect Bucks County to go to green until at least
August, maybe even later. We are hopeful that we can have our annual pancake breakfast in
September and Winterfest in December.
